Nguyen Duc Nhat Thuan has long cherished the dream of “Bring Vietnamese Cuisine to the world” He has always been eager to make that dream a reality, and from there, Ca Men was born.
In 2015, Ca Men officially came to life with two dishes: Steamed rice rolls with pork and rice porridge with duck. But it didn’t stop there—Ca Men continued to grow, bringing even more Quang Tri dishes to Saigon. Today, when people think of Quang Tri specialties in the heart of Saigon, they immediately think of Ca Men.

CA MEN'S JOURNEY
In 2009, Nguyen Duc Nhat Thuan moved to Ho Chi Minh City to attend university. After spending 18 years enjoying home-cooked meals, he found himself deeply missing the flavors and dishes from his hometown, which he couldn’t find anywhere in Saigon. Moreover, every time he visited his hometown, the people in his neighborhood would encourage him to find a way to introduce their local products more widely. This inspired Thuan to come up with the idea of opening a restaurant that would sell Quang Tri specialties in Ho Chi Minh City.
After graduating and spending a year working at an import-export company, Thuan had saved up a small amount of money and gained enough experience to turn his dream into reality. In 2015, he quit his job, where he was earning nearly $1,000 a month, and founded the “Ca Men” brand.

Ca Men was born
The question that the Ca Men team gets asked the most is: "Is Saigon really lacking in steamed rice rolls that you have to bring it in?" And Ca Men has spent the past seven years proving the difference.
